We’ve seen some set photos but now comes the first officially released still from Anton Corbijn’s film “Life,” starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan, via The Playlist. They pretty much look like themselves here, but perhaps they’ll transform more wholly into James Dean (DeHaan) and photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) on screen.
The film chronicles the road trip the two took together after Life magazine commissioned Stock to shoot some candids for a feature on Dean, ending up with some of the most iconic imagery we have of the legendary Hollywood actor. Corbinjn tells EW of his actors: “When I see Rob I see an inner turmoil that is great for the role. And Dane is really interesting. He has a beautiful face, but it’s a face to grasp. It’s hard to see how Dane reads [onscreen] sometimes, and the same goes for James Dean.”
“Life” also stars Ben Kingsley and Italian actress Alessandra Mastronardi and is currently filming in Toronto.
