Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne have been set as the leads in Luc Besson’s next film, a sci-fi thriller called “Valerian,” the director announced on Twitter. The story was first published in 1967 in France as “Valerian and Laureline,” and will follow DeHaan and Delevingne as a spacetime-traveling agent and his female counterpart. The series was created by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres. Mazieres has history with Besson, having acted as a concept designer on Besson’s “The Fifth Element.” The film will begin shooting in December and will be released in 2017.
