We’re given a little more context – but not much – in the latest trailer for the Dane DeHaan/Metallica collaboration “Metallica Through The Never“.
DeHaan plays a Metallica roadie who is sent to retrieve a truck which is out of gas and has been left somewhere in the city. But in the truck is something the band need that night and as DeHaan sets out in to the unknown, his truck gets overturned and he awakens, in the middle of a violent showdown between looters, police in riot gear and masked horsemen.
Producer Charlotte Huggins has previously said that “Metallica Through The Never” is a “dramatic movie in which a concert takes place” – and not a 3D concert movie in the vein of Katy Perry or Justin Bieber – and the released trailers have certainly proven this, showcasing a dark and violent movie.
We wouldn’t expect anything less from Metallica.
“Metallica Through The Never” is released in 3D at Imax Theaters on September 27th, before going on a wider release a week later.
